What's Wales Climate Week All About?
Hosted online, Wales Climate Week is a free, five-day conference packed with fascinating talks, expert panels, and inspiring discussions. The theme this year? Climate Adaptation – exploring how we can tackle the challenges of climate change and build a resilient future.
From sea level rise to extreme weather events, we’re all aware of the impacts of climate change. But what can we do about it? How can we adapt? That’s exactly what this week is all about, with opportunities to learn from others that are leading the way to adapting to change. You can drop in from the comfort of your own home or workspace and catch up on sessions that pique your interest. It’s like binge-watching for a better planet!
Get Involved Locally: Start Your Own Climate Conversation
Wales Climate Week is also a springboard for you to take action in your own community. Ever thought about hosting a conversation on climate adaptation with your, community? Now's your chance!
With funding opportunities available, you could organise a local event or a meet-up. The idea is simple: bring people together to talk about the real issues, share ideas, and think about what climate adaptation means for you and your local area.
Looking to spark meaningful conversations about climate change in your community? There’s funding available to help you host your very own event! Whether you’re a school, non-profit, or a community group, you can apply before 14th of November.
You never know, that small conversation could spark something much bigger!
